TippysbeautifulwifeLindawasoncetheloveofRalphslifeandregretshislongabsence.SheistiredofTippysshiftless,drunkenwaysandLloydsdomineeringruleofthefamily. Borrowingaminersjeep,RalphdrivesMassonettitoamainhighway,wheretwopolicementakethemintocustody.TheyturnouttobeimpostorswhodriveMassonettitoanairstripwhereDavisiswaitingwithaplane.Aftertheyboard,Ralphdrivesthecarintotheplane,overturningit.HedragsMassonettifromthewreckageandholdshimuntilrealcopsarrive.Bythetimehereturnstothegasstation,LindaiswatchingTippyslifelessbodycarriedaway.
